During a Tesla Event on Thursday, the highlight of the event was the reveal of the Optimus – which seems to be a robot companion.
These humanoid-like robots made their way on stage during the event. Elon Musk stated they have been in production since 2021. They are also being called the company’s “biggest ever product”.
Elon stated these Optimus robots can “do anything you want”. This includes stuff as walk your dog, get groceries and more. However, we should be careful as Elon has been known for over-promising his products before.
When these release, the base model will cost between $20,000 and $30,000. It’s also good to note that this type of Artificial Intelligence isn’t needed in our lives. We need to be remember to be human, and not let AI take over everything.
