If you are like me, you don’t enjoy cutting your grass. John Deere has a solution, which was revealed at CES 2025. It’s a Robot Lawnmower.
Powered by a 221.4kWh battery, the mower uses four pairs of cameras to cut grass for you. It can also run for up to 10 hours. It’s also much quieter than normal gas powered mowers.
I for one am not sure how I feel about this. While technology like this can be cool, we are heading for a dangerous time where most jobs will be replaced with Artificial Intelligence. However, John Deere also said that sometimes this could be needed. The company cited a report that said “keeping qualified labor on staff was a major challenge”.
