Last year, I started getting interested in sim racing and other games such as American Truck Simulator. When I was shopping online for a steering wheel, I ended up purchasing the Logitech G920 Steering Wheel.
For my first wheel, the G920 is something I can see myself using for a long time. For $299.99, the steering wheel is really well built. It has a stainless steel paddles, along with a leather wheel that feels great as well. At times, I felt like everything felt like a real wheel.
In terms of specs, the wheel has 900 degrees of rotation with dual-motor force feedback. That means you will feel bumps in the road, making the experience feel more realistic. You also get loads of buttons. It comes with a directional pad, as well as 11 other programmable buttons.
The pedals also have a great grip system for your carpet, making sure they don’t move. At times, I found them a bit hard to break with, but you can easily change sensitivity settings within the Logitech App.
The Logitech G920 is compatible with PC, and the Playstation 5, 4 and 3. If you are planning on going all-out, you can also check out their Driving Force Shifter. It’s compatible with hundreds of games, such as American Truck Simulator, Assetto Corsa, BeamNG, and even F1.
