I’ve owned lots of fitness watches. There are so many of them out there, but which one is the best? Over my travels, I found the Garmin Fenix 6. Before we get started, it’s important to know there are newer models of these, but Garmin watches are generally a bit more expensive. However, you definitely get what you pay for.
In terms of built quality, the watch is a beast. I’ve dropped it many times, and it’s basically waterproof. I’ve gone swimming and showering with it ever since i owned it, and no damage was done. At the same time, not a single scratch has shown up on the screen. This is truly a beast.
It’s important to know the Garmin Fenix 6 isn’t a true smartwatch – while it can display notifications and tell you the weather, there’s just not much here. This watch shines everywhere else. It’s packed full of features, such as a heart-rate sensor, dozens of activities to track, a pulse ox sensor, and even sleep tracking. For the full list of features, check out the Garmin website.
The battery is also a powerhouse – it’s lithium battery provides 14 days in smartwatch mode, 36 in GPS mode, and 48 days in battery-saver mode. You can easily change these settings on the watch.
In terms of customization, you can change the watch face. Using the Garmin Connect app, you can download different watch faces. The app also gives you other features, such as viewing activities and managing your watch settings – which is easier on the app itself.
Other notable features include music and Bluetooth, allowing you to download mp3’s or linking to a subscription to Spotify. Thanks to the Bluetooth, you won’t need your phone – just pair earbuds and go.
Like we said earlier, there are just too many features on the Garmin Fenix 6. If you are looking for a fitness watch that gives you some smart features, this might be the hit for you. You can purchase it on Amazon for $369.99 renewed.
