Fenix 8

The Garmin Fenix 8 Series Is An Amazing Premium Smartwatch

Garmin has announced the Fenix 8 smartwatch, the next-generation premium GPS smartwatch. Starting at $999.99, this smartwatch is designed to last you forever.

Like any other Garmin smartwatch, the Fenix 8 has a rugged design. It’s made to be abused – all models are leak proof and have been tested to U.S. military standards. You can go swimming with these watches, and nothing will ever break.

It also can be solar charged, like older models. However, this watch can receive 50% more solar power than the previous model. Other cool features include a built-in speaker and microphone, allowing people to receive calls. You can also use voice commands now, allowing you to start activities and other things.

Like any other smartwatch, the Fenix 8 can send and receive messages with the Garmin Messenger app. You can also listen to music with Spotify or Amazon Music, and even pay at the store with Garmin Pay.

It’s also got a built-in LED flashlight, which will come in handy. Of course, you also get the standard health tracking here. You can track your heart rate, Pulse Ox, Body Battery, Jet Lag, and even sleep tracking. There is loads more as well. Just like any other Garmin watch, this is truly a powerhouse for your health.

Finally, the battery will also last you awhile – in smartwatch mode, the 51mm AMOLED model lasts 29 days. The other model, the 51mm solar, will last up to 48 days.

When you go to shop for these, you get loads of options:

  • 43mm AMOLED – $1,099.99
  • 47mm AMOLED – $999.99
  • 51mm AMOLED – $1,199.99
  • 47mm AMOLED – $999.99
  • 47mm SOLAR – $1,099.99
  • 51mm SOLAR – $1,199.99

Depending on what model you want, prices can vary. While prices might seem high, a watch like this can certainly last you a generation. I will most likely be upgrading from my Fenix 6 to this in the future.
