Meta Cancels Plans For Mixed Reality Headset

In the VR Industry, Meta has released multiple headsets such as the Quest 2 and Quest 3. They were also going to release a mixed reality competitor to the Apple Vision Pro, but it looks like the company has changed their mind.

After a product review meeting this week, the company told employees to stop working on the device. The device was originally going to release in 2027, and was code-named La Jolla. It was going to feature micro OLED screens, which would have been the same tech in the Vision Pro.

Even if this news is sad, meta still has the Quest 3 – which is a great headset. For $500, the device has mixed reality itself. It also has other neat features, such as 3D sound and great graphics. There are two different models here, $499 for 128GB and $649.99 for 512GB.
