Epson Q-Series

Epson Launches Game-Breaking Epson Q-Series 4K Projectors

Epson has launched three new projector models, all apart of the Epson Q-Series line. These are all high-end units, using laser technology.

The entry level model is the QB1000, which starts at $7,999. Giving that price, these projectors might not be for the everyday consumer. This model features a Epson VRX Cinema lens, with HDMI 2.1 connections. If you also have a hole in your wallet, this is probably the one you want. The brightness can get up to 3,300 lumens, and also has support for HDR10+, HDR10, and HLG formats. Finally, its rated for 20,000 hours.

It seems clear to me that most of these projectors would most likely be purchased for movie theaters. The higher end models start at $14,999 and go all the way up to $29,999. These are the QL3000 and the QL7000. Both of these can support screens up to 300 inches. Epson also says they are more compact, making them great for bright areas. The brightness on the QL3000 can go up to 6,000 lumens, and the QL7000 can support 10,000 lumens.

Anyone wanna give me a small loan? If you are looking for something more consumer friendly, try something like the Samsung Freestyle. Certainly, I won’t be able to afford the Epson Q-Series anytime soon.

Hisense is also looking to release a projector, the Hisense PL2.
