The Samsung Odyssey 3D Will Play Games in 3D Without Glasses

If there ever was something we didn’t see coming, its this. Later this year, Samsung will release the Samsung Odyssey 3D gaming monitor.

The hot take here is that you won’t need glasses to play 3d games. Using eye-tracking technology, the monitor will convert 2D games into 3D. Upon release, there will be two models – a 27″ display, or a 37″ display. Both of these models will feature 4K QLED , along with 165Hz refresh rate and a 1ms response time.

It will also include AMD FreeSync, which will help fight against screen tearing. On the back, both Odyssey 3D monitors will have one DisplayPort 1.4 and two HDMI 2.1 ports. Finally, it will have a tilting height-adjustable stand.

According to Samsung, the 3D is achieved by combining a lenticular lens with a built-in eye tracking camera. The monitor will then constantly work to provide you a 3D image.

We don’t know a price yet, but will update you if we learn more.
