In a Samsung Stove Recall, the company discovered over 1 million stoves would accidentally turn on and catch fire. The recall contains over 30 models of electric ranges, dating all the way back to 2013.
In a statement to the public, Samsung is offering customers a free set of knob locks or covers to minimize the risk. According to Samsung, the electric ranges were involved in 250 fires, which contributed to about 40 injuries. Eight of those required medical injuries, and about 18 caused damage to property.

Considering how big Samsung is, this will definitely make a difference in their brand. People might look to companies for products – especially if they are causing fires.
