Quest 2 VR Horizon Worlds

VR Isn’t What It Used To Be. It’s Cool Now.

In the early days of the Quest 2 and VR, the future was uncertain. These gadgets felt like they were missing something, and games weren’t necessarily groundbreaking. It’s now 2024, and In my opinion, VR might be coming back in a big way.

Back in October, Meta released the Quest 3. While the headset isn’t perfect, some of it’s groundbreaking technologies included Mixed Reality, which allows you to blend your real world with apps and games. In my experience in the Quest headsets, promising games included Dungeons of Eternity, Beat Saber, and more.

However, games weren’t what made by change my mind about VR. One application in particular, Meta Horizon Worlds, offered something really different – social experiences. In the app, I found different worlds, all built by different people like you and me.

One world in particular, The Soapstone Comedy Club, offered many experiences. The owner, Unemployed_Alcoholic, gives people a great place to make friends and visit events in a welcoming area.

If there ever was a time to give VR another chance, here it is.
